So, I dressed like a flag. This flag inspiration happened by complete accident. Simply put, I wanted to embrace the ability to finally wear shorts outside. The only problem is I recent sold a ton of clothes to Plato’s Closet during my spring cleaning purge, so I am severely lacking in the denim shorts department. I haven’t had many since leaving retail, but I hadn’t noticed just how little until Spring hit. That being said, I wore one of the few shorts that I own, which are chino navy shorts that I purchased from Target last summer. After the fact, I realized the look was red, white, and blue: the American flag. Oops! It was still a bit windy out, so the tan cardigan I added helped to break up the patriotic feel. The shoes are my go-to sandals from last summer, which are the ‘Hamil‘ sandals by Steve Madden.

The Beauty

Recently, I’ve been into cool-toned nail polish. I found Revlon Colorstay’s “Indigo Night” nail polish in my collection and decided to try it out. Instant love! I’m not sure why I don’t own very many bold blues, but I have a feeling that’s about to change. The color is gorgeous! The jewelry is extremely simple for this look. I traded in my standard hoop earrings for a Kendra Scott tassel necklace instead.
