Hello, hello! I hope you all had a great, long weekend! If you follow along on Instagram, you already know I saw Black Panther and loved it! I actually saw it twice, but this is the outfit I wore on the first night. Since the weather is still overcast and rainy, I haven’t been able to shift into spring fashion just yet. It feels like the weather has been gloomy for around 2 or 3 weeks now, so I decided to create my own sunshine and add a pop of yellow to my primarily black outfit.
Duster jackets are so handy to have in your closet because you can literally wear the same base with a different color duster and have the outfit look completely different. I ordered this yellow duster from Boohoo and honestly wish I would have purchased a few additional colors because it’s long but doesn’t require me to wear heels.If you’re short like me, you’re very familiar with the challenge of long coats and maxi dresses being designed for taller people. I thankfully didn’t have that problem with this purchase. Even with flats on, I can wear this duster and not worry about it dragging across the floor.
Although I would consider this style of coat as a staple, it isn’t something I’d recommend splurging on. Instead, save a bit by shopping in a trendier store. Because it’s such a lightweight layer, it will hold up well despite the price as long as the seams are sewn together well.
