Hi, I'm Chelsey

And we’re back!

I wanted to spend the weekend just relaxing and catching up on sleep, but I still managed to be productive around the apartment. I love weekends without plans because I feel like I can get so much housework done…does anyone else feel that way? Anyways, on to the outfit of the day:

Steve Madden Villano Sandals Black

The weird thing about blogging is things still feel brand new until they’re featured on the blog, even if I’ve had something for months. In this case, I’m referring to these amazing fringe gladiator sandals. I purchased these back in April, but didn’t break them out and wear them until recently. The style is Villano by Steve Madden, and they also come in a cognac color. I originally purchased the cognac shade, but I think the black pair looks better against my skin tone.

As for the clothing, I’ve had my graphic tee for years and years. It’s a sheer black tee with a print of The Beatles and their iconic Abbey Road shot. I love tees like this one; they get better with age and start to have a worn-in look. Because we have a sticky heat here, a sheer tee is a a staple item for summertime. Unlike the gladiators, my denim shorts are the same ones from Topshop that I’ve featured a number of times since purchasing them. Truthfully, I love them so much that I want to get another pair. I’m starting to realize Topshop is my favorite place for bottoms. I have a few pairs of their jeans and I like that they are tight but have a comfortable stretch to them. I quickly topped the look with a blazer to provide some styling options. Remember — you don’t always have to keep a graphic casual!

Last time I featured a graphic tee, I paired it with a statement necklace. This time, I kept the neckline bare and opted for the Ainsley Cuff by Kendra Scott. I gave my Vivienne sunglasses a break and wore the style About Last Night, also from Quay Australia. If you like these, this style is currently in stock. The Viviennes were a limited release, but keep your eyes peeled for a second launch of QUAYxSHAY coming 07.29! I’m very curious to see what the second range will carry. I also want to quickly mention my lip color because it can be challenging finding a neutral lip combination. I lined my lips with Rimmel Exaggerate lip liner in Addiction, topped it with Maybelline’s Touch of Spice matte lipstick, and added NYX’s butter gloss in Angel Food Cake.

Would you be interested in a post featuring my favorite everyday lip products?
