What I’m Wearing: Topshop tee | Topshop shorts | Sam Edelman sandals | Quay sunglasses | Kendra Scott body chain
Sometimes the last minute outfits end up being my favorite looks. This past weekend, I had an amazing time in Austin at an Alabama Shakes concert. I knew I was going to the show for a few weeks, so I picked out a concert outfit in advance. Naturally, I ended up wearing something totally different at the last minute. The show was at an outdoor venue so my ultimate goal was to wear something that fit the weather. The end result was a loose white tee and denim shorts, both of which are from Topshop.
In my Style Tips for a Music Festival post I mentioned the importance of wearing shoes that you know are comfortable. The Sam Edelman sandals for this show added a little flair to an otherwise simple outfit, but I primarily wore them to break them in and make sure they felt comfortable enough to wear during Austin City Limits. The verdict? I recommend them! My feet felt fine by the end of the night and despite the lace up detail, the sandals have a zipper in the back so they can be thrown on quickly.
I added a body chain and cuffs to dress up the look for the concert, but this outfit can be worn to any daytime outing as well. Once you have the base of a white tee and denim shorts, you can tailor the outfit for your mood and the event by swapping out the shoes and accessories.
