Well, it’s that time of year. The holiday season is behind us and we’re slowly drifting into the less popular holidays. First on the list is Valentine’s Day. While this isn’t necessarily a Valentine’s Day post, I’ve put together three outfits that can be worn for the occasion if you plan on celebrating this year. Keep reading to see each look and let me know which one is your favorite!
Pretty in Muted Pink
- Dress: Nasty Gal
- Shoes: Steve Madden
- Clutch: Nasty Gal
This look is the closest color option for a typical Valentine’s Day outfit without getting too bright. Muted shades of pink were all over the stores last year, and they’re still on trend well into this winter season. The dress comes in a few colors, but I like the pink shade for a date because it adds a bit of a romantic tone to the otherwise flirty dress. Below are even more pink dresses to fit any date night:
Trendy in Earth Tones
- Dress: MissGuided
- Shoes: Aldo
- Purse: Steve Madden
I love wearing earth tones on an average day, but who says you can’t wear them out on a date? The dress above immediately caught my eye as a potential date night dress. The slight structure in the shoulders adds some edge but the plunging neckline gives it sass. A long sleeved mini dress takes the guesswork out of styling, so really all you need to complete the look is a lariat necklace and your favorite shoes. Not a fan of long sleeves? No problem, I included sleeveless wrap options in the same color palette below:
Chic in Structured Black
- Jumpsuit: Urban Outfitters
- Shoes: Stuart Weitzman
- Clutch: DSquared2
As for styling hair and makeup, a structured jumpsuit and statement necklace pairs perfectly with the classic top knot and red lip combo. While my instinct is to reach for a leopard clutch as a pop of print, I like the clean look sticking with all black gives for this nighttime look. The gold statement necklace alone is enough to keep the outfit from looking too monochromatic. You can never go wrong with black, especially at night. I’ve added a few other styles below just in case jumpsuits aren’t quite your thing.
