Happy first day of Spring! Today’s outfit is a favorite of mine because of the blouse. I previously shared how to style a spring top for the office, but you can also wear it on the weekends with a quick style shift. One key for maximizing a wardrobe is learning how to style each piece to fit all the different aspects of your life. Something practical like a blouse can be taken from work to play by mixing and matching existing pieces in your closet.
For a weekend look, I swapped trousers for high-waisted denim shorts. The contrast of a casual fabric like denim against the romantic patterns of the top makes for a balanced outfit. The blouse itself can be worn a few different ways, but I like to stick with the general rule of thumb when it comes to showing skin–exposed on the bottom, cover up on top. Plus, the high neckline really brings out the vintage vibe of the blouse.
