What I’m Wearing: Forever 21 dress (similar) | A&F top (similar) | Converse shoes | Quay sunglasses
Happy Monday! This past weekend went by so fast, didn’t it? It feels like just yesterday I was writing the post explaining my weekend plans, and here we are on a Monday morning. I spent the day in Austin on Saturday, relaxing with a few friends and checking out an Origins event. I feel like I’ve been complaining about my skin for so long now, but it seriously has become more prone to breakouts since November so I’ve regularly started using masks each week. I’ve purchased the Origins black charcoal mask several times and have come to prefer its gentle nature over Glamglow’s SuperMud mask. At the event, I repurchased the favorite but also picked up a few other Origins masks to try out–I’ll keep you all posted as my skincare routine gets more refined.
Today’s outfit is what I wore in Austin over the weekend–super casual and perfect for the springtime weather. While a large part of my wardrobe can be worn from work to play, lately I’ve been focusing on wearing the less versatile pieces on the weekend. Graphic tees, ripped denim, shorts, and this t-shirt dress all are too casual for work, so I like to make the most of them during my days off.
The dress is from Forever 21, meaning it’s a little on the short side. To keep the dress from riding up too much, I added a chambray top around the waist. While I didn’t end up needing it for the weather, pairing a lightweight layer with a casual dress is another way to incorporate the “in-between seasons” jacket mentioned in Friday’s post.
