It’s my birthday today! I’m 25 now, which is hard to believe and very accurate all at the same time. Even though today is my actual birthday, I celebrated with friends this past Saturday so I’m just spending the day at home and away from work. Today’s outfit post may look familiar if you follow me on Instagram, as this is what I wore for my birthday suit. The dress code was casual, of course, because I’d rather be comfortable than waiting for the moment I can take my shoes off all night. We went to Kona Grill and the movies to see 22 Jump Street, which was hilarious. My mom came to town and celebrated with me the night before by doing a little shopping and dining at The Cheesecake Factory.

The Halogen sandals I’m wearing in this post are an early birthday present from my mom as a result of the shopping. H&M just recently opened in my city–congrats to my good friend who got a job there–and that’s where I picked up these black pants. You can never have too many skinny black pants, in my opinion. They’re comfortable and not exactly denim so I don’t think they’ll be prone to fading. The only downside is they collect lint like no other. My trapeze top  from Urban Outfitters is pretty much my new favorite top. I really want to get multiple colors after seeing it available online.
