Rather than call this a favorites post, I consider these beauty items to be my necessities for the season. I’ll discuss my clothing necessities in a future post, but for now let’s talk about scents, lip colors, and jewelry.
Scents
I don’t know if you know this, but I am o b s e s s e d with burning candles in my home. There’s nothing that keeps my seasonal spirit high like having a festive home. From decorations down to wallflowers and candles, my apartment has to live and breathe in the moment. Whenever Bath & Body Works has the 2 for $22 3-wick candle sale, I stock up. For fall, my candle scent picks are Leaves, Autumn, and Sweater Weather. All three candles create a warm, cozy aroma in my apartment. Leaves has a hint of spice to it in comparison with the other two, so this candle would be a good choice if you’re a fan of cinnamon or other spice fragrances.
Candles aren’t the only scented necessities this fall. The fragrance I’ve been wearing daily is Marc Jacobs Honey. It’s probably meant to be more of a summer scent, but I like the light smell for daytime wear despite the fall season.
The fragrance energizes with the freshness of green pear brightened with a splash of fruity punch and juicy mandarin. At the heart of the fragrance is orange blossom, a note of sparkling femininity that mingles with nectars of honeysuckle and peach. Honey, vanilla and smooth woods dry down to a warm, golden base.

Beauty
Judging by the majority of my outfit posts, it’s clear that I’m a huge fan of red lipstick. I didn’t realize exactly how much lipstick I owned until a few days ago when I showed my friends a pic of my collection. The sad part is, 70% of the collection consists of various shades of red lipstick. In reality, I instantly reach for two particular shades most of the time, both of which are by Revlon. Raspberry Bite is a gorgeous creme oxblood color that I have loved since last fall and have yet to find a better replacement. A more recent favorite is Really Red, a matte shade from Revlon that is more of a true red and flattering against all skin tones.
Jewelry
While I still love and always will love classic gold jewelry, a more rustic metal has become my fall necessity. I’ve started to expand my jewelry taste by branching out into rose gold and silver as well, but the rustic look has such an antique feel to it that really captures my attention.
Last fall, I wrote about The Palmdale Necklace from Urban Outfitters. An entire year later, and it is still one of my absolute favorite pieces. It’s a great statement piece that can be dressed up or down, and is perfect for cooler months. It’s no longer in stock on the site, but there are quite a few similar options out right now. The cross double ring was a thrift store purchase a few months ago, and both bracelets are from my online boutique.
