Hi, I'm Chelsey

We are a quarter of the way through 2015 already! Can you believe it? Not only does time fly when you’re having fun, but it also flies when you’re busy and an adult. This time around, I don’t have too many favorites. As the warmer months approach, I like to strip down on the beauty routine: natural hair, lighter makeup, and just less product in general. I also have a few repeats from last month, which are listed but not pictured at the bottom of the post.

March-Favorites-1

Shea Moisture Deep Treatment Masque

I swear by Shea Moisture products when it comes to my hair. I’ve had this deep treatment masque for several months, but just recently started using it more regularly. It’s too thick for my straight styles, but I do love how it revives my curls. I notice that my hair feels moisturized and looks bouncy whenever I use the masque as a deep conditioner.

Philosophy Coconut Frosting Shower Gel

I’m extremely new to the Philosophy products. I’ve heard so much about them over the years, but only recently started to test them out after picking up the Pink Almond Candy scent after the holidays. The coconut scent reminds me of a muted cake frosting smell. What I love about it is that it isn’t overpowering. It serves as a good starting point for whichever perfume and lotion combination you plan to use that day.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White

Speaking of scents, Nirvana White is another all-time favorite for perfumes. As of right now, nothing tops Nirvana Black–which you can read more about in January favorites post–but Nirvana White is a favorite for different reasons. This scent is a good daytime choice for girls who like softer floral scents but also favor sultry perfumes. The main notes are peony, musk, and mugget, which mix together for a lightly sexy daytime aroma.

ELF Cream Eyeliner

ELF’s Studio Cream Eyeliner is easily the best $3 you’ll ever spend in regards to eyeliner. It’s comparable–often times better than–high-end brands. What’s great about this eyeliner is the formula. Liquid liners often result in a shiny finish, and cream liners can dry out before you get the full use. With ELF’s cream eyeliner, the finish is matte and the product still hasn’t dried out on me despite having it for a few months. I apply it with the brand’s angled eyeliner brush, which gives me full control for an effortless wing.

OPI’s ‘I Just Can’t Cope-acabana’ Polish

Last month, I was all about the color yellow. There’s something about yellow that just evokes happiness. I Just Can’t Cope-acabana was a favorite for my both my fingernails and my toenails. I think yellow polish looks beautiful against medium to deep skin tones, and it’s a great shade to wear for Spring.

Sally Hansen’s Big Shiny Top Coat

Sally Hansen’s Big Shiny Top Coat polish has been a favorite for months, but I keep forgetting to add it into my monthly post. Simply put, it does exactly what it says it will do: Add a big shiny top coat to your nails. I always finish my manicure with this top coat, and will repurchase time and time again once I run out. There is a noticeable difference between my nails that do and don’t have this added layer of shine.
