This past weekend was a lot of fun, but also exhausting. My friend and I attended an event known as ‘Oyster Bake’ on Friday night. It reminded me of a mix between a state fair and a music festival, but on a smaller scale. The best part? I ate a ton of deep fried junk food that I absolutely didn’t need. I haven’t had deep fried foods in a long time, especially since becoming vegetarian, so it was nice to let loose and be carefree with food for a night.
On Saturday, we went to Nordstrom to attend their Ivy Park launch event. Either we arrived too early or the saleslady overhyped it because there weren’t many people shopping shortly after the store opened. I was still glad I went because the collection was totally my style, so I walked away with three pieces. Afterwards, we did a little “adulting” and picked out fabric for furniture.
Which leads me to Sunday, the day I wore this super cozy Kimchi babydoll dress from Urban Outfitters. Shopping for fabric turned into looking at apartments, so I spent this past Sunday talking with my leasing office and thinking about whether or not I want to move into a different space this year. Despite being extremely tired from the previous day’s adventures, I knew I had to run a few errands after I finished up with my leasing office so I wanted to look put together yet feel comfortable.
Pro Tip: When you’re looking for a comfortable option that looks like you tried more than you actually did, wear a dress with a swing silhouette and busy print.
