What I’m Wearing: Free People top | Zara shorts | Zigi Soho shoes (similar) | Quay sunglasses
What a time! I don’t know about you guys, but I have been so incredibly busy lately. As a child, summertime was relaxation time. In fact, I remember being bored with the amount of free time I had. As an adult, the summertime is one of my busiest seasons. I typically don’t take a vacation around this time since it’s peak season for me, but I have a short trip coming up next week and I can’t wait! In the meantime, I’m taking a little breather from work to bring you all a new outfit post.
Do you remember when the exaggerated flute sleeve tops were in style around 10 years ago? In keeping with the desire for nostalgic trends to return, stores are starting to stock their shelves with flared tops. While I originally didn’t think I would love this trend like I did over a decade ago, this Free People top changed my mind. I’m living in floral and off the shoulder tops this summer and this top was the perfect mix.
The top itself is a statement piece, so I kept the rest of the look minimal. Not only that, but we’re in triple digits here in Texas so pairing pants with a long sleeve top was not an option. Luckily, I recently found several pairs of shorts from Zara to help me survive the summer heatwave. I prefer cutoffs over cuffed denim, but I felt like the cuffed option fit the vibe of this daytime look more than my go-to style.
