I’m still feeling under the weather, particularly at night, so yesterday I basically only got dressed to run to Target for cold medicine. I’m still making use of what’s currently in my closet, and this outfit is the quick and easy look I threw together.
I haven’t worn this sunflower tank since last summer, but decided the nice weather over the weekend called for a little flowery apparel. It’s one of those racerback tanks from Urban Outfitters that you can almost always catch on a two for something sale. I recommend them if you’re a fan of semi-fitted tanks, as I’ve found them to hold up well amongst multiple washes. The skies were clear but chilly, so I kept warm with one of my longer cardigans purchased from Forever 21. This cardigan is one of my favorites because the sleeves have some breathing room without being oversized, which I find to be a challenge when it comes to sweaters. I also wore a pair of olive green jeans from Charlotte Russe, and slipped on tan flats from Target. I realize I haven’t photographed the bag of choice for the majority of my recent outfits, but I prefer to leave out my handbag if it doesn’t seem to add anything to the look. Also, I’m almost always wearing my Marc by Marc Jacobs crossbody bag because it’s lightweight and easy to carry around.
I didn’t do anything special with my makeup this time around. Truthfully, I only put makeup on because I’m still experimenting with my new Lancome foundation, trying to narrow down the best way to apply it and how much of the product produces the results I’m looking for. I like it so far, despite the learning curve. I find the neutral undertones of the foundation shade blend with my skintone in a way that no other foundation has. My lip combination is NYX’s Euro Trash matte lipstick topped with their butter gloss in Tiramisu, which created a soft lip that’s great for an every day look. Sunday is the day I deep condition my hair when it’s curly, which explains the bird’s nest of a bun sitting on top of my head.
Is anyone else holding off on buying new clothes until the spring season arrives?
