The weather has been so gloomy all weekend, which is a bummer for more reasons than one. Not only does it suck all the energy out of me when I have a lot to do, but it’s so difficult to take good photos when the sun is hiding. That being said, I’m still determined to spend the day prepping posts that will hopefully involve original photos. In between planning out posts, I’m perusing the internet looking for an outfit to wear for the Lydia concert coming up in April. I saw them for the first (and second) time last November, but I’m still beyond excited for this show. They’re playing the album that has had the biggest impact on my life front to back, beginning to end. It sounds dramatic, but music is such a huge part of who I am and I can’t even put into words what that album has done for me or what it means to me. Have you ever heard an album, or even read a book, for that matter, and it just completely heals your soul? Yeah. This album, Illuminate, is just so raw and gritty and has a way of saying everything I’ve once felt but had no clue how to put into words.
But I digress.
I went off on a tangent to basically say that today’s snapshot is inspiration for the kind of outfit I’m leaning towards wearing for the concert. I took this picture one or two weeks ago at Urban Outfitters. They always have the best dressed mannequins, so I pull a lot of outfit inspiration from them. I’m just assuming that it’ll be hot by the time the concert rolls around, but the weather has been so up and down that it’s kind of hard to plan an outfit ahead of time.
What’s your ideal outfit for a concert?
Sidenote: Along with this snapshot is a playlist of music I created yesterday and posted on Tumblr. I listen to a variety of music, so I wanted to start making mini playlists that include the songs I have on repeat for the current weekend. This is the first playlist:
