Have you watched The Amazing Spider-Man yet? If you have, you know why I’m writing this post. Three words: Emma. Stone. Style. The Gwen Stacy wardrobe is calling my name, is it doing the same for you? One thing I noticed about the character’s style is it didn’t seem too far off from Emma’s personal style, which made me delve back into a few street style photos within the past 3 years that I’ve enjoyed. I find Emma’s outfit choices to be very wearable for the everyday girl. She’s effortless and feminine without being overly styled. She has a bit of prep without being cliche. Basically, Emma’s style is very much her own. So, how can you take elements of her style and make it your own? With a few key things:
- Stripes
- Flats
- Slim Pants
- Long Outerwear
- Neutral Colors
I’ve put together three looks that I feel represent Emma Stone’s personal style fairly well. It’s not to say you must go out and wear the exact look head to toe, but instead to inspire you to incorporate the few things that work for you into your existing wardrobe. For example, I am not an oxfords person. They are adorable on others, but I don’t feel like myself when I wear them, nor do I think they look right on my feet. Rather than wear oxfords for the sake of replicating Emma’s style, I would make it my own by switching the shoes out for ballet flats or printed loafers.
