Happy Day 3 of my smoothie cleanse! (Status update: I’m hoping I can at least make it to 5 days if I can’t go through the full 10 just yet.) I shared a preview of this shoot on Instagram a few weeks ago, and today I’m posting the full outfit! This look was shot by Jenni Jane of Sunflower Stills–be sure to check out her website here!

Casual White Tee | OOTD
When it’s cold and rainy outside and your boots are all suede, sneakers are the only option. This look is super casual but one that I really love because of its simplicity. I previously styled this trench coat with heels and a fairly neutral look, but this option is for the effortless on-the-go style lover. If you’re a frequent reader of my blog, you may know by now that black pants and white tops are staples in my personal style. I can never have too many black pants, and a white top will always be a must-have for me.
When paired together, a white tee and black pants can look a bit plain. Unless that is the look you’re going for, this is when accessories come in handy. I loved how the trench coat pulled the whole outfit together, but it’s the little pops of gold through the everyday jewelry that shifts the casual outfit from plain to put together.
White Tee Style Tips
Styling a white t-shirt truly deserves a video filled with a few outfit ideas, so I’ll keep the tips short and sweet for now:
- White tees are super versatile, but pay attention to the fabric! Stick with cotton when you want to dress down a look.
- Keep multiple white tees in your wardrobe with varying necklines for every occasion.
- For a clean and casual look, pair a white v-neck with a delicate necklace and straight leg jean.
Another tip that I’ve heard over the years but haven’t tested is swapping to an aluminum-free deodorant. Apparently, the aluminum causes your shirts to turn yellow over time when you perspire and opting for an antiperspirant without the aluminum can solve that issue. Have any of you tried this tip before?
