Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a good weekend! It was the first weekend of the spring season and despite the beautiful weather, I didn’t spend too much time outdoors. Saturday was primarily spent indoors blasting music all day while I attempted to clear out and organize files on my computer. Yesterday I attempted to find patio furniture so I could enjoy the weather and blog on my balcony, but I didn’t have any luck. Maybe as we approach summer, outdoor furniture will be easier to find. For now, I’ll continue to visit my favorite local coffee shop for a change of scenery.
Today’s outfit is made up of items that have all been featured on the blog before. As mentioned in the spring style series, I want to be mindful of how often I’m wearing what’s in my wardrobe before purchasing more clothes. What I’m finding is it’s actually fun to discover new ways of wearing items you already own. Mixing and matching what’s in your closet is a good way to experiment with your style without spending a dime.
The utility trousers are from Topshop, and the mint tank is from Forever 21. Previously, I paired the trousers with a pink top to create an office-appropriate outfit within the same color palette. This time, I decided to step outside of my comfort zone and double up on color. The mint tank pairs well with the pink trousers, which is something I wouldn’t have expected to like.
What do you think of the color mix?
