It’s time to start transitioning into Fall fashion! Everyone knows fall fashion is the best fashion, so I’ve started window shopping online to get inspiration. The key to early fall fashion is versatility. Here in Texas, we’re ready for Fall way before the temperatures drop, so finding the balance between cooling clothes and fall appropriate attire can be a little challenging. So far, I’ve compiled a list of items that have piqued my interest and I hope to find most, if not all, of the items for the upcoming season.

Camel Coat
I’ve longed for years for this staple wardrobe piece. While I found a peacoat in recent years, I really want to find the perfect long, open camel coat. Not only is it a timeless piece, but it quickly spruces up a simple white tee and jeans look. Good coats are hard to find, but I hope to have the perfect camel coat before this year is up.
Pastel Blouse
Pastel may not be the first color to come to mind when you think of Fall, but I’m all about the “barely there” shades. Nothing beats a good earthy tone, but pastel shades are a great alternative as we transition out of summer. Right now I own a few tops that err on the side of blush that I always receive compliments on, so why not broaden the spectrum?
Y Necklace
Have you seen those trendy necklaces cut into a Y shape? They’re almost like the work appropriate answer to a body chain. Kendra Scott recently came out with their version, called the Coby necklace, and I have my eye on the rose gold option.
Rose Gold Watch
Speaking of rose gold, I’ve recently expanded my love of gold jewelry into the rosy pink spectrum. I have a set of rose gold midi rings that complement my skin tone very well, so I’d like a watch to match. Bit of a first world problem, but there are days that I want to wear a watch and can’t because mine is gold, yet my other jewelry is rose gold.
Nude Booties
Who doesn’t love a fresh pair of booties? The pair pictured above are ideal for the summer to fall transition because they have cutouts that are fashionable and functional. It’s hard to find booties that don’t emphasize the shortness of my legs, so it may be a while before I find the perfect pair.
Medium Wash Jeans
While I normally gravitate towards dark jeans, I’ve enjoyed the switch to medium wash lately. I own a few pairs and find they bring a look together, especially pastel shades. I’d like to find a few pairs as we transition to Fall, particularly with rips at the knees.
Olive Handbag
I’ve never had an olive handbag, and Fall is the perfect time to find one. Earthy hues always catch my eye, but I tend to stick with neutral bags.
Berry Lipstick
You can’t transition into fall without a fall lipstick, right? I normally gravitate towards red lipstick at the end of the year, but I want to venture into the purple berry tones this Fall.
