Did everyone have a great weekend? I certainly did. I may not have had a crazy exciting 4th of July, but I got the chance to go home over the weekend and spend some quality time with my family. If you follow me on Instagram, you may have noticed a hair change too. I’ll have a blog post on that experience later this week.
Before dyeing my hair, I wore this outfit. It isn’t my usual style, as I wouldn’t have thought to pair the two items together, but I really like how it looks. Does it look familiar? If you shop at Urban Outfitters a lot, you may have seen this exact outfit on one of the mannequins at your local store. That’s actually where I got the idea. The mannequin set of three had various colors and patterns of the outfit, but this blend was my favorite. A flannel shirt was tied around the waist as well, but it’s warm enough here for me to go without it.

Stepping out of your comfort zone when it comes to fashion can be very rewarding. I mentioned in the comments of one of Marina’s posts that I used to wear blacks and neutrals on a near daily basis. It wasn’t until I pretty much challenged myself to step out of that comfort color that I started to incorporate more prints and shades into my wardrobe. If only I could do that with denim…
Do you guys have that one thing you’re always reaching to wear in your closet?
Love your top!
