What I’m Wearing: Top – Forever 21 (similar) | Pants – Zara | Hat – Zara | Boots – Target | Sunglasses – Quay Australia | Jewelry – Forever 21

There’s nothing quite like the Monday after a holiday, am I right? This Thanksgiving, my family switched things up by going the non-traditional route and not cooking. Instead, we ate Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant. It paled in comparison to a home cooked meal, but I still enjoyed the company. Today’s look is what I wore for the holiday and it’s a bit of a Texan vibe with the hat and boots combo. I wanted to wear something that felt festive for the holiday, and the color of this Zara hat fit the bill. I originally purchased it for a music festival (my friend ended up wearing it instead) and rediscovered it for Thanksgiving.

The best way to wear a hat without feeling like you’re trying too hard is to keep the rest of the outfit simple and balanced. To accomplish this, I paired a white oversized button-down from Forever 21 with my usual uniform of black pants. This pair is from Zara and one of my favorites even as they begin to fade because they fade into a wearable color.  I love doing a front tuck to my tops because it adds shape to an otherwise billowy top without looking overly polished. The boots are a fall staple of mine, which you may have realized as I’ve featured them multiple times on the site this season. Mine are from Target, but you can find even more styles in the Fall Boot Must-Haves post if you’re on the market for a few new styles.

Hats are very on trend at the moment, which style is your favorite?
