What I’m Wearing: Brandy Melville tank (similar) | Urban Outfitters jeans | Converse shoes | Target jacket | N&K sunglasses
Happy Monday! I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter weekend! There aren’t any small children in my immediate family so we don’t have Easter egg hunts anymore, but we did enjoy a home-cooked dinner. Aside from spending time with family, a good home-cooked meal is my favorite part of visiting home.
Today’s outfit is more colorful than previous looks, all thanks to the floral print jacket I found at Target. What I love about the jacket is the lightweight material. If you aren’t into wearing shirts as jackets while the temperatures change, a thin jacket like this one is a great alternative. Not to mention, a printed jacket can add personality to a neutral or monochromatic outfit.
This time around, I kept it simple by mixing the new jacket with a few of my older items. The graphic tank is one I’ve had for several years now and have only recently started to incorporate back into my wardrobe. Because the base of the jacket is black, I paired Urban Outfitters black denim with the outfit instead of a lighter wash jean. For my shoes, Converse have slowly started to emerge as my go-to casual shoe this season. I love that they’re such a low-maintenance shoe and they seem to look better the older they get.
When you think of floral print, dresses and skirts may come to mind. You can still wear the spring trend and keep it as casual as a t-shirt and sneakers with something like a floral jacket.
