What I Wore: Forever 21 top | Zara denim | Steve Madden boots | Forever 21 bag | Quay Australia sunglasses
Who says you can’t wear white after Labor Day? While that rule mostly applies to white pants, I think white boots may make the cut for some people. Personally, I think a lot of fashion rules no longer apply in today’s style world. After all, some rules were made to be broken.
If you follow along on Instagram, you may have noticed I shared a behind the scenes look at yesterday’s busy schedule. Sundays are typically meant for relaxing, but mine was spent working on content. The temperature dropped and I enjoyed the cooler weather by staying outside essentially from 9 to 5. Even though it was cold while I was out at the coffee shop, I relied on the latte to keep me warm as we shot my outfit.
This fall outfit is for those of you who tend to stay away from the cliche earth tones during the season. While I love a good mustard yellow or rustic orange, these Steve Madden boots inspired me to wear a more subtle fall look. If leaf-inspired tones aren’t your cup of tea, grab a pair of white boots for a trendier style. Although the heel is higher than most casual boots, this pair was surprisingly comfortable.
I styled the boots with a polka dot blouse from Forever 21, previously featured on the blog in my StyleCon post. Rather than grab my go-to black pants, I opted for Zara denim to keep the outfit more on the daytime casual side. If you aren’t into the white boots trend just yet, I say give them a try! Trust me, I typically stay away from white shoes if they aren’t sneakers so I get the hesitation. The key is to find a pair of white boots with an on-trend style, like a block heel or pointed toe.
What do you think of the white boots trend?
