Hi, I'm Chelsey

I’ve previously shared boot trends you can wear to give your outfits a boost, and I’m back today with 3 additional styles in the form of a boot edit! If you haven’t noticed, boots are my favorite shoes to wear. They can totally change your look based on the type of style you wear, and there’s a style out there to fit everyone’s needs.

The Boot Edit | 3 Trends Your Closet Needs

Rather than delve into the different shaft heights like ankle boots, OTK boots, and mid-calf boots, I’m focusing more on the colorway for this boot edit. These are the 3 trends I recommend adding to your wardrobe this season–leave a comment letting me know which trend you love the most!

1. Printed Boots

The printed boot is my personal favorite right now, and it’s the style that I chose to wear in today’s look. I’ve talked about how you can add the snakeskin trend to your wardrobe in a previous post, and boots are a great way to get started! Snake and leopard print are two of the more common boot styles I’ve seen this season, but there are also plaid and star options available as well. Whichever print you choose, styling is easy!

Don’t overwhelm yourself by thinking too hard about how to style your printed boot purchase. For a quick and easy beginner look, style your staples! As you can see in the outfit I’ve styled, I kept the look simple with three wardrobe staples. A white tee and denim pairs well with everything so it’s a great starter look when you aren’t sure how to style a new shoe.

2. Colorful Boots

I purchased a pair of red boots last season and they are still a favorite style of mine. Adding a brightly colored boot to a fall or winter outfit is unexpected and fun! Bright colors aren’t just reserved for the spring and summer months anymore! Don’t be afraid to add a pop of color to even the warmest winter look.

This trend works well with all boot styles, but I think it truly shines with a statement boot. Over-the-knee and mid-calf boots in a fun color are conversation starters, so don’t be afraid to throw on a pair with an oversized sweater dress.

3. Fur-Lined Boots

Living in Texas, I don’t gravitate towards furry boots as much as other people. That being said, I still have an appreciation for the fur-lined boots I’ve seen in stores lately. These boots look the best when they are mid-calf and laced, so shop around to see which boot catches your eye. For the ultimate winter casual look, add a teddy coat and a cute beanie!
