Thanks to the Sephora VIB sale, I finally bit the bullet and purchased two of the five Glamglow masks. While featuring them in a haul, I mentioned that I would update you all with a ‘first impressions’ once I tried each mask. Well, I have used both all of one time each over the past week, and here’s what I think so far. Let’s start with what I tried first: the Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment.

The Claim
Before we jump into what my experience was like, I want to quickly mention that the purpose of this mask is to:
- Provide tighter skin texture
- Provide tighter pores
- Provide a more youthful appearance
- Absorb impurities without removing natural oils
This information is pulled from Sephora’s website. I like that they even have a mini survey of results others have experienced after just one use, so I expected to see at least a minor change after the test run.
The Application
Prior to trying this, I went to Sephora’s website just to double check how long the mask should be left on my face. Because I did that, I was reminded that the mask would tingle upon application since it has the word in the name. This mask has green tea leaf pieces within the product so it doesn’t apply smoothly. If I didn’t know that before, it would have thrown me off so I’m letting you know as well.
I was used to thick masks, so I was pleasantly surprised with the “thinner than most” consistency of the Glamglow Youthumd Tinglexfoliate Treatment. It was incredibly easy to apply a thin layer to my entire face. While it did tingle slightly as it started to settle and dry, the feeling only lasted maybe 1-2 minutes of the 10-minute process and didn’t cause any irritation.
Once it dried around the 10-minute mark, I couldn’t move my face. Surprisingly it was very easy to take off. I leaned over my bathroom sink and splashed my face with water while massaging each area of my face in a circular motion until it all wiped away. The entire rinsing process took less than a minute. So to recap my application experience:
- 1-2 mins max of experiencing a tingling sensation upon initial application
- Thin consistency made it easy to apply
- Dried within 10 mins to a stiff finish
- Did not irritate my face or eye area
- Easy rinse-off process
The Results
Afterwards, my face felt refreshed and a little tight, but not in an uncomfortable way. I was actually impressed with how my face managed to feel tight without feeling like it was dried out. I followed with moisturizer simply out of habit rather than necessity. The rinsing process provided a very gentle exfoliation, which is what I think helped my skin feel smoother. In a nutshell:
- Tighter skin without feeling dried out
- Smoother skin texture
Overall Thoughts
While I can’t provide a full on review for the product, my first impression is that I like it. I know a lot of people try to preserve the product due to the price, but I have read quite frequently that it’ll dry out if left alone for too long. I want to use this twice a week consistently so I can see if my first impression fades or improves over time.
