A few weeks ago, I went to Sephora and purchased a Lancome foundation after passing by the display with Lupita N’yongo on the marketing. I hadn’t realized Lancome carries a wide variety of shades and undertones, which is amazing. Because of that, I played around with a few products and ended up purchasing the Tent Idole Ultra 24hr foundation. The coverage was a bit heavier than what I’m looking for, and the finish wasn’t ideal for my combination/oily skin. Since the Tent Idole was a bust, I continued my hunt for a new foundation by stopping by Sephora this past weekend and exchanging one Lancome product for another. I didn’t buy much of anything else, but wanted to share since I’m on somewhat of a makeup journey.
Three Things I Picked Up:
I purchased everything on Saturday morning, so I had the opportunity to test a few of them for a first impression.
Lancome Nude Miracle Foundation
One of my friends recommended the Nude Miracle foundation, so I decided to pick it up. When I swatched it in store, it was incredibly soft to the touch and appeared to blend in with my skin seamlessly. It’s too early to tell with confidence, but I think I may have found my winning foundation. I wore it out all day and it seemed to hold up nicely. What really amazes me with this foundation so far is it’s mattifying factor. With combination/oily skin, not setting my foundation with a powder is a greasy disaster waiting to happen; however, I absolutely didn’t need to apply a setting powder.
Make Up For Ever HD Pressed Powder
I also picked up Make Up For Ever’s HD Powder after seeing it on countless “best of beauty” youtube videos. Everyone seems to swear by it, so I purchased the sample size of the pressed powder version. With the way my new foundation is going, I haven’t had the chance to try out this setting powder. I may have to try out with one of my drugstore foundations to see how well it works.
NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
Lastly, I purchased the very popular NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. This is my second time purchasing it, the first experience being a little skewed due to picking the wrong shade. I’m hoping to like this so I can take a break from MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. I do wish they came in more shades, though.
Have you tried any of these products?
