Did everyone have a good weekend? Mine was super relaxing, since I spent Friday and Saturday with my family. The older I get, the more I appreciate the opportunities to spend time with my family. The one downside? The trip was somewhat last minute, so I’m sure I’ll have a busy week ahead to catch up on my usual weekend tasks. I got back in town early enough to have a productive Sunday, so I went to the mall wearing this outfit on the hunt for a good foundation. I’m trying to find a good high-end foundation since I pretty much have two favorite drugstore foundations. I purchased NARS Sheer Glow a few weeks ago, but the color was too dark. Unfortunately, the next shade up is too light so I’m on the market for a different brand to test.
Everything from my outfit is a recent purchase. The shoes were featured recently on the blog in a shoe finds haul. If you prefer the actual brand as opposed to the Target alternative, the Steve Madden style is currently on sale for the same price I paid for these. I wore these wedges instead of my go-to plimsoll sneakers because I didn’t want to feel too dressed down. A sales associate from Topshop helped pick out the jeans. They are my first pair of Topshop jeans (although I picked up a second pair during the same purchase) and so far I like them, I just wish I got a size smaller as they have a bit of stretch as you wear them throughout the day. The second pair I purchased are the same style, but they fit perfectly. I’m not sure if the rips at the knees cause the sizing to be a bit off, but this pair seems to fall at the waist.
As for the top, I purchased it from Target. I normally don’t pick up tees that have the cutoff sleeves, but I liked how soft this one felt. To cover up the cutoff portion, I layered the look with an extremely soft flannel top from Charlotte Russe. Guys, I absolutely love this flannel. It may have to replace the oversized one I’ve featured in a few different looks previously.
