What I’m Wearing: Topshop top | Zara pants (similar) | Steve Madden boots | Quay Australia sunglasses | Forever 21 backpack
You guys, Thanksgiving is next week and we still aren’t consistently getting cold weather here in Texas! It feels like the cold weather takes even longer to arrive for good each year. Despite the slow burn into Fall/Winter, I have officially retired all of my denim shorts until Spring. Today’s minimal outfit is one for the simple fashion lovers.

I talked about subtle fall outfits in a previous post, but this one differs in that black pants are featured instead of jeans. The black and white combination is a classic pairing for a “put together” outfit. While some may find a solid top plain, I have really grown to love simple outfits with clean lines and minimal accessories. There’s a time and place for prints and graphics, but who says you can’t incorporate a bit of simplicity as well?
The cropped sweatshirt is the warmest sweater I own right now, picked up from Topshop. I read a few reviews on Nordstrom’s site before purchasing that mentioned pilling, but I haven’t had any problems with that. Going back to an old Venti staple, the sweatshirt is paired with high-waisted black pants from Zara. The white boots are from Steve Madden, previously featured in my Fall Boot Guide post. White shoes can be pretty polarizing, but I say try on a pair if you’re not in love. You’d be surprised how versatile they are!
