Happy Monday! It was a race against the rain trying to shoot today’s look. Our weather has been predicting storms everyday for the past 3-4 weeks now. We haven’t had anything too crazy, but it’s always a risk taking a camera outdoors when the rain clouds are near. I planned on wearing a different outfit to work, but my hair wasn’t cooperating with me this morning. Despite that setback, I liked how this outfit just kind of fell together.

The Fashion

This Mossimo Flyaway Cami is absolutely my style. I passed it up once while window shopping at Target, but had to go back and get it. The black and white print caught my attention, and I like that it’s something I can easily transition from work to play. An added bonus is the minimal back, which gives you the option of pairing the cami with a trendy strappy bra. Even though I wore this to work, I still wore a trendy bra just in case I needed to run errands before going home. Mine is the Strappy Ring Racerback bra from the Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy line. To keep the look work appropriate, I went with an officewear staple: classic blazer. I pretty much ration out my black pants during the workweek because I could literally wear them everyday, so I added a pop of plum with these Charlotte Russe skinny pants instead.

The Beauty

Girls with super curly hair may remember this quick and easy bun. It was a popular hairstyle in my hometown before the sock bun took over, and I can see why. It’s extremely easy to do and it still showcases your curls when a ponytail isn’t voluminous enough to wear. For the makeup, I’m actually wearing BareMinerals in a shade that’s the wrong undertone. I wanted to switch over to my usual BareMinerals Matte Powder for the spring and summer seasons, but I think they might have changed their color selection. It’s not as noticeable on camera, but in person the shade I’m wearing is much too red for my skin. For my lips, I’m wearing Bite Beauty lipstick in the shade Hazelnut with MAC Soar lipliner underneath.
