What I’m Wearing: Quay sunglasses | Forever 21 tank (similar) | Forever 21 coverup (similar) | Zara shorts | Sam Edelman shoes (similar)
We’re just a few days away from the true first day of Fall and my car told me the temperature got all the way up to 102 over the weekend. Oh, Texas. There was a brief week or so in early September when we had a little relief from the heat, but it has since returned. With the weather dragging summer out as long as possible, why not talk beach outfits today?
Today’s outfit post is serving casual beach outfit inspiration. When I traveled to California last month, Venice Beach was my favorite stop during the trip. Nothing compares to the beauty of a Hawaiian beach, but Venice Beach had its own unique flair. I loved the little pockets of character within the beach, particularly the graffiti walls.
For the outfit, I wanted to wear something that was both functional and stylish. We weren’t quite sure where we’d end up after the beach, so I wanted to look somewhat put together. As a bikini coverup, I opted for a sleeveless blouse from Forever 21 and a printed shawl-like wrap. The cutoff shorts are from Zara, previously featured in my floral top look over the summer. They’re one of my favorite pairs of shorts because they have a leopard print trim along the side of each leg, adding a bit more detail to a classic wardrobe staple.
If you’re heading to the beach while waiting for cooler weather, I recommend building an outfit that can take you from the beach to the mall, similar to this look. Build your own look by shopping the selection below:
