It’s been a while since an outfit post was on the site, huh?

Another beautiful fall day. I was once the girl who swore against ever combining brown and black together. Major fashion faux pas…until now. I don’ t know, sometimes I don’t want to reach for the expected black boots. I thought black boots would be too much with the skinny black pant, so I tried pairing brown boots instead and I don’t mind the way they look. The brown breaks the outfit up a bit more than black would, and the color isn’t too harsh. Sometimes black boots can make an outfit look more edgy than you intend, so opt for a different shade and see how you like it.

Plaid is a staple for your closet. If you can find just one good plaid shirt, you’ll be set for the season. This plaid in particular was featured in a previous OOTD post, styled a bit differently. For a daytime look, I wore it as a shirt rather than a coverup, with a signature front tuck. I’m not big into leggings, so black jeggings are a good alternate. For accessories, I opted for my everyday MxMJ watch, jewelry from my boutique, and the huge Phillip Lim for Target tote. I get so many compliments on that bag, and it can seriously store my life. It’s so spacious and sturdy, I recommend picking it up if you’re lucky enough to have a local Target with it still in stock.
