Hi, I'm Chelsey

Double-Slit-Maxi-Dress

Welcome to the last day of the photo diary! As always, click over to day 1 and day 2 if you missed the previous posts. For day 3, I mentioned in my outfit packing post that I wanted to wear floral. Florence + The Machine was the highlight of day 3, and she always reminds me of nature and flowers. I ended up going with the floral maxi from Forever 21, which was the most relaxing outfit of the weekend. I originally wore the floppy hat to block the sun again, but I swapped it out pretty early in the day to put my hair up in a messy bun and out of my face.

As you can see here, the flash tattoos from Day 2 were still going strong.

We even added one last flash tattoo down my back.

Scenery-to-ACL

We had to walk from the Uber drop off location to the park, and the walk had really cool venues to shop and eat. One day, I’d like to make a trip to Austin just to visit this strip again.

Another view from the strip.

To the right of the strip was this beautiful view of a river and full trees. From this scenic view, you wouldn’t even know it was Fall.

Austin-Skyline

I shot this photo because I really liked the Austin city skyline in the background.

ACL-Festival-2015-Halsey

Sunday was the hottest day of the weekend. We spent the early afternoon relaxing in the grass watching BøRNS and Daughter perform, but we ended up standing and getting a fairly close view for Halsey. Her performance was really good, but the stage left the crowd facing the sun, which made it unbearable to stay for the full set. A few people even passed out or got lightheaded from the heat. We ended up leaving for shade and water after watching Halsey perform for 30 minutes. Her set was scheduled for an hour, but I’m guessing she was also feeling the heat because it ended 15 minutes early. (If you’re interested in checking out Halsey, I’d recommend listening to Drive.)

The rest of the shows we watched from the comfort of a shaded area underneath a tree. It was a much needed break from the heat and gave us just enough energy to walk over to the Honda stage for alt-J, and then cross the park over to the Samsung stage for a close spot for Florence.

Florence put on an incredible show, dancing across the stage and being the ethereal goddess we all know her to be. (If you’re interested in checking out Florence + the Machine, I’d recommend listening to Dog Days Are Over.)

On Sunday, we saw the following bands/artists: Marian Hill, Lion Babe, Daughter, BøRNS, Halsey, Ben Howard, Classixx, Vance Joy, alt-J, Of Monsters and Men, Hozier, and Florence + The Machine. The one artist we would have liked to see was The Weeknd, but he performed during the same time as Florence.

And that’s a wrap on the photo diary for Austin City Limits. Overall, I had an amazing time and would love to go back. Did you all enjoy the photo diaries? Would you like to see more sprinkled throughout the blog? I think they added a little more personality so you can see what I’m doing when I mention an event, rather than only seeing the outfit.
