Hi, I'm Chelsey

Stripes-and-Pink

This outfit was a struggle to shoot. I didn’t plan on taking pictures on Saturday because of how gloomy and rainy the weather was, but I ended up liking my outfit so this is the end result.

The Fashion

My pink leather jacket doesn’t get enough love. I’ve been rotating between my two (faux) fur coats so much that I’ve failed to add a little color with this beauty. Even with this look, I planned on wearing my black fur coat from Topshop. The weather was gloomy but not cold enough to warrant a fur coat, which is what made me switch to this vegan leather jacket from Blank NYC. The pop of color along with the structured shoulders ended up making the look fall together in a way the black coat could not.

The black and white striped tank is one of my favorites that you will absolutely see more of in the near future as the temperature rises. One of my best friends bought it for me from Urban Outfitters, and I really hope they produce more in other colors. I’m not a big fan of tight shirts–mostly because I prefer tight bottoms–so this tank is an instant love because of how breathable and loose it is without looking overwhelming.

The bottoms are my beloved black pants from Charlotte Russe that I probably wear twice a week. Because the streets were wet from the rain, I opted for these Forever 21 moto boots instead of my standard suede boots from Steve Madden. As for the bag, it isn’t pictured since I wore my standard Marc by Marc Jacobs crossbody.

The Beauty

Let’s ignore the hair because I didn’t feel like styling it, okay? As for the makeup, I wore the Lancome Nude Miracle foundation that I’m currently testing. I like it for everyday wear, especially because it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing makeup and looks like a better version of my skin. I don’t think it’s ideal for photography because of the sheer coverage, but I’ll get a little more detailed once I post a full review of the product. I went a little smoky with the eyes, using a few grey shades from Lorac’s Pro Palette 2. The lips stayed simple because of the eyes, wearing only NYX’s Butter Gloss in Tiramisu. Lastly, I went a little opposite with the leather jacket by painting my nails this lime green shade from Essie called Vices Versa.

The Details

What do you like to do when the weather is gloomy? I made a run to Target for a few items for future blog posts. Target is always a good cure for boredom.
