Happy Monday! The sun finally came out over the weekend so my mood is significantly better! I don’t know how people can live in climates where most days are cloudy and overcast. We’ve been dealing with overcast days for several weeks now and were dying for some sun! With just a few days left in February, my eyes are already looking in Spring’s direction. I’ve started shopping around for Spring clothes even though the weather hasn’t called for it yet. The one good thing about the gloomy weather is it has extended boot and sneaker season for me.

The Neutral Boot | OOTD
Today’s outfit post features one of the newer boots in my wardrobe. I’ve been hit with luck this season because I normally have such a hard time finding boots. This year, I have so many pairs I love that I actually may try to carry them into Spring until the Texas humidity gets to be too much. The boots are from Target, just like the last pair of tan boots I purchased a few years ago. While those boots were my go-to for comfort, I wanted a neutral boot with a thinner shaft. This pair has a higher heel and flat sole so they aren’t all day boots, but I can still get several hours (around 5 or 6) of wear time out of them before my feet start to hurt a little.
I wore the neutral boots on a daytime friend date consisting of food and shopping so the rest of the look is made up of my usual casual staples. Both the top and scarf are from Nordstrom, but the jeans are Topshop.
I hope you all have a great week! I’m looking forward to March kicking off this week! We’re just a few weeks away from SXSW!
