The striped tee is such a classic wardrobe staple piece, but it can be challenging finding the perfect fit. You want it to be versatile to get your money’s worth, so do you go for fitted or relaxed? Scoop neck or v-neck? Short sleeves or long sleeves? I already have a striped tee in my closet that is semi-fitted and a three-quarter sleeved top, so I went for the opposite style this time around. This newest addition is from Topshop, and I like the relaxed fit of the tee much more than my older alternate. I topped it with my newest infinity scarf from Target, which was a combination inspired by a look styled on a mannequin at Forever 21. I’m telling you, I pull so much inspiration from simply walking around the mall and checking out the storefronts. I would love to go from store to store, styling their mannequins and storefront displays. I had a taste of that while working at Guess, and it was one of my favorite parts of the job. The mannequin I took inspiration from also had a black leather jacket overtop, but it wasn’t chilly enough to warrant a jacket. Instead, I mixed prints with my bag of the season.
