Hi, I'm Chelsey

The Fashion

Another “live” outfit post. I wore this outfit to work today and loved the comfort. The tribal print top is a new purchase from Forever 21’s contemporary line. I don’ t always wear prints, but when I do they’re in neutral colors. As much as I love my go-to work outfit of a white top and black bottoms, it’s nice to switch it up with a printed look every now and then. It’s no surprise that I paired the new blouse with skinny black pants. I have three pairs, yet I still feel like I don’t own enough. Not to mention the newest pair I’m wearing that I purchased from Zara is already starting to fade. For the shoes, I found a comfortable heel from Forever 21. They may look a bit familiar because I have the same pair in tan, which was featured previously on the blog.

I went pretty heavy on the jewelry front, but I think it works with the look. The gorgeous gold cuff is an early birthday gift one of my friend bought from Kendra Scott. To balance out my wrists, I wore an older birthday gift from my dad: a Marc by Marc Jacobs watch. Unfortunately, I haven’t gotten around to replacing the battery, so it truly is just an accessory at this point. The necklace is  a new favorite from Urban Outfitters, and I of course had to wear hoop earrings since my hair is down. I don’t know why, but I only like to wear hoops at work when my hair is down. The pair I’m wearing today is from Aldo.

The Beauty

On my nails is a very sheer pink polish from Essie called Minimalist. Truthfully, I’m not too sure how I feel about the shade just yet. I think I prefer sheer polishes that are more nude rather than pink. My toes have a gorgeous teal shade from Salon Perfect on them, but I can’t think of what the name of the polish is. While my hair products have remained the same, the order in which I apply them have not. I finally wore my natural curls out since cutting my hair, and I love how moisturized and bouncy they looked today. While part of it is due to dead ends being removed, another has to do with applying a leave-in conditioner before adding coconut oil. It’s amazing what a simple switch can do to your hair. And guess who finally switched out the sunglasses? I’m still wearing the Quay Australia brand, but this style is called About Last Night.
