Beachside with Sam Edelman

While I primarily wanted to enjoy the vacation, I did end up taking a few pictures on my phone to share on the site. This first look is what I wore on our second day in Hawaii. We spent the morning grabbing a bite to eat, shopping around the International Market Place, and checking out the beach. Since we were pretty much exploring the area before heading to a luau that night, I wanted to dress as comfortable as possible.

The outfit I went with was perfect for shopping and going to the beach. I pretty much recreated the outfit I wore to the Alabama Shakes concert last month, just switching out the original white tee from Topshop for a more fitted option from Forever 21. The denim shorts are a favorite pair of mine from Topshop, great for wearing over a swimsuit during the day. I haven’t had the Sam Edelman gladiator sandals for very long, yet I already feel like I’ve gotten my money’s worth with them. Last year I wore black fringe gladiators, but I’m really into the neutral colorway this year because they have more versatility while still making a statement.

The vacation sunglasses–which you’ll see more of in upcoming Hawaii photos–are Quay x Chrisspy ‘Mila’ shades. Something about the blue lens with the tortoise frames just screams beach vibes to me. Although they were a part of a limited collection, you can find the same color combination available in Quay’s ‘About Last Night‘ style. I own the all black pair and featured them in my sunglasses collection earlier this year for reference.

That’s a wrap for Hawaii Style Diaries #1! Oahu was so beautiful and relaxing, I’ll share a few pictures from my trip in an upcoming travel post!
