I shot this look over the weekend for a different reason, but liked the outfit so much that I kept it on for the day. Now that summer is winding down, I’m trying to squeeze the last bit of wear out of these gorgeous Steve Madden sandals. I want to write a post going over my personal style essentials, although I feel like you all may have somewhat of an idea after this summer: stripes and a good denim bottom.
I forget about things in my closet sometimes if they don’t easily transform into workwear clothing, which is why I’m glad I made the style resolution of shopping my closet more. This striped tank from Urban Outfitters was an instant favorite, but I forgot about it over recent months. In the summer, I like lightweight, semi-sheer tops. The tank is minimally see-through which makes it comfortable to wear even during the hottest points of the day.
At work, my hair is almost always in a ponytail because it’s easy and natural curls look cute in a ponytail. Switching things up slightly, I opted for styled waves in a very high ponytail that I haven’t worn since my school years. It was a fun and playful style that I surprisingly liked, despite the youthfulness of it. With an emphasis of squeezing out summer, I wore a bright pink lip and vibrant yellow nails. The nail polish color is ‘Never a Dull Moment’ by Ginger + Liz, a brand I previously featured on the blog.
How are you squeezing out style in the last days of summer?
PS – See how I styled this same tank for Fall here.
