Hey guys! Today, I’m pulling back the curtain a little bit and showing you a snippet of the #bloglife. For me, weekends are at a premium. The weekend is when I have the most hours in a day and can knock out some of the more laborious tasks when it comes to blogging. For those of you who also create your own content, I don’t have to tell you how much time it takes to generate work–especially when you’re flying solo.
I’m lucky enough to have friends and family nearby who are willing to help where they can, but it’s still quite a lot to juggle at times. Your to-do list is never complete, the weather will always betray you, and sometimes you just don’t feel “camera-ready”. But, at the end of the day, it’s all a worthy labor of love because I truly enjoy having an outlet to share my passion for personal style.
Blogging Behind the Scenes
For this particular weekend, I was shooting a few campaigns for a couple of brands on the one weekend it finally decided not to rain. Whenever I have a multi-outfit shoot planned, regardless of whether I’m shooting solo or having someone assist, there are a few steps I take the night before to prep:
- Pull all the looks.
- Try on each outfit for one final check.
- Iron each piece to minimize wrinkles.
- Fully style each look from head to toe.
- Place them on my rolling rack so they’re ready to go.
Much like the old days of getting your school stuff ready, I find it so much easier to start the day when I’ve prepped and pulled my looks the night before. Come to the shoot with me by watching the latest vlog below, and don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel so you’re the first to know when a video is published:
